Contest Rules

1. Eligibility
1.1. The contest is open to individuals worldwide. Employees,
officers, directors, and agents of NYSA, as well as their
immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and
household members, are not eligible to enter.
2. Contest Period
2.1. The contest begins on June 22, 2024, at 12:00 AM EST and
ends on August 1, 2024, at 11:59 PM EST. Photographs must be
taken within the borders of Coney Island, NY, on June 22, 2024.
3. How to Enter
3.1. To enter, contestants must submit up to two (2) photographs
taken on June 22, 2024, within the borders of Coney Island, NY,
through the official contest page on the NYSA website by August
1, 2024, at 11:59 PM EST.
4. Submission Requirements
4.1. Photographs must be original, non-professional work created
by the contestant.
4.2. Photographs must not have been previously published or won
any awards.
4.3. Each photograph must be in digital format (JPEG or PNG), no
larger than 10 MB.
4.4. Any photograph that includes inappropriate, offensive, or
illegal content will be disqualified at the sole discretion of
NYSA.
5. Judging
5.1. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges selected by
NYSA. The judging criteria will include:
Originality and creativity (40%)
Composition and technical quality (30%)
Relevance to the theme (30%)
5.2. Judges' decisions are final and binding.
6. Prizes
6.1. Prizes will be awarded as follows:

6.2. Winners will be notified by email or phone on or about Sept
21, 2024.
7. Rights
7.1. By entering the contest, contestants grant NYSA a
non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display,
distribute, and publish their submitted photographs in
connection with the contest and for promotional purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1. By entering, contestants agree to release and hold harmless
NYSA, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any
liability, claims, or damages arising out of their participation
in the contest or the acceptance, use, misuse, or possession of
any prize.
9. General Conditions
9.1. NYSA reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the
contest if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor
beyond NYSA's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper
functioning of the contest, as determined by NYSA in its sole
discretion.
9.2. The contest is governed by the laws of the State of New
York, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New
York.
10. Privacy
10.1. Contestants' personal information collected in connection
with the contest will be used in accordance with NYSA's privacy
policy and for the purposes of administering the contest.
11. Compliance with Laws
11.1. This contest complies with all applicable federal, state,
and local laws and regulations, including but not limited to the
New York General Business Law ยง 369-e, which governs promotional
contests and requires clear and complete disclosure of the terms
and conditions of the contest.
